Tool # 2
Personal Learning Networks have the possibility of opening learning opportunities on every imaginable subject. I feel at once excited and totally overwhelmed by these possibilities. This is a new learning experience for me and I feel I am going in circles. I have spent hours looking at the different blogs and clicking on links that take me to interesting sites, but I have not yet written a comment on any of them. It feels as if I am blind and walking through a world I don't fully see or understand. I have stopped and started several times over a couple of days. Sometimes I get overwhelmed and just have to stop for a bit.... and the come back to it.

I decided to skip tool #2 (for now) and work on #3 since I am interested in finding out more about pictures on the web. Two night ago my niece was helping me with finding pictures and adding them to my blog. It really is nice to have a personal tutor by my side. Although I think she has an ulterior motive to helping me. She wants me to get my "homework" done as fast as possible so she can have the broadband card back and get back to her social networking! At the moment we are in Guanajuato Mexico for a vacation. Because of the facebook and other sites she is keeping up with all her friends. She is a perfect person to help me with the 11tools. I was able to create two pictures with the different mash up tools. Quite easy and I can see many uses for the classroom and school events. We use lots of pictures at out school and this adds a nice touch.

Second time around-Easier
Things sure do get easier the second time around! This is my second blog and I was able to create it using the same gmail account as the first one. I have spent the last hour trying to figure out how to get our new school logo added to my header but cant figure out how to rezise it. When I add the logo it is HUGE on the screen. I am excited about the new technology that will be availabe next year for our students.
